I really didn't know about any of this. We have Easter day, but I didn't know the extent to which it was celebrated in other parts of the world. Very interesting! The art is lovely.
Taken to spring greece! I only know of hit hot greece so can feel the freshness in the air. So interesting to learn about other cultures. Can smell the bread, its heady scent curling around. Xx
I was on Patmos again in 2018 cos my brother’s a yacht-ie - small sail-boat, unpredictable, bit like Ulysses - and it was very touristy in high summer. Monks still there, doing their thing.

These paintings are delightful! I am Orthodox Christian and am feeling such nostalgia and comfort at these images of Easter week in Greece.

These painting are so beautiful! I would like them all on my wall!
Thanks Louisa! The sketchpad is small enough to hold in one hand with the paintbox in the other - that's the key!
Thanks for appreciation, Liberty. On Patmos the year I was there, Easter Monday fell on Mayday - a double celebration.
It's a really special time - so glad the story brought you joy (as it did me)!
Greetings to you too, Rosemary - good to hear from you!
Thank so much, beloved Aglaia, for kind words - so important coming from you.

As always, a lovely piece. Greetings form Orkney.
Brilliant, as always. Greek Orthodox Easter is on May 5 this year.
