Hooray that you have the 1968 edition - congrats! - later editions lack my drawings. Charles, yes, well - not ideal. But apparently it's not the crowning but the constitution we're about to celebrate. Coronation chicken much more fun than fava-bean quiche, anyway.

How lovely to see you in your coming out dress. I don't think there are any pictures of my coming out drinks party (parents could not run to a dance) in 1977. I don't remember much about it or who was there. I wish I did.

Thanks Elisabeth ! Fabulous illustrations - I have made this dish many times over the years, occasionally with seafood which is also a treat . .. mostly now I’m enjoying your wonderful interpretive list of ingredients and method 🌀

As a Canadian/American, I'm rather ambivalent about Charles, but will make this recipe.

I do remember how exhausting the original recipe is. Made a very nice version with a Patak curry pot, equal parts Greek yogurt and mayonnaise and mango chutney, poured over some leftover chicken.
