Oh oh what wonderful scented deliciousness. Risotto now there’s a thought. I’ve squirrelled the idea away and will practice over the next few weeks before nature stops me.Thank you, Elisabeth.

Elizabeth, your watercolors are beautiful. Minimalist yet capturing everything.

I look forward to reading your posts. I hope one day I can paint watercolors in this way.

Wonderful as always. I've just been reading about the Colony Room & its Soho surrounds. Now I'm trying to imagine them drinking some kind of rose laden apéritif before they move on to the serious drinking.

So pleased you enjoy, Nancy! Please report back from Sara - there's so much to be done with the idea that you can prepare yr own rosewater (the vicomte gives a longer list of roses, some still available. And Mrs. Leyell also has reliable info.

Brilliant! What else can I say? I did make rose petal jam once with a friend who had rigorously organic fragrant roses. It was fantastic and reminded me of breakfast in a hotel in Heraklion many years ago, stark alabaster-white yogurt topped with deep, dark red rose petal jam. I am passing on the rose petal risotto to Our Sara and hope she will introduce it at Nina June. And I am so enthralled with the roses that I never even looked at the paella, mea culpa.
